What an incredible Synth-tember 2025! We are closing out the exhibition in style, and we want you to join us for the party!
Synth-tember is an annual event series celebrating the vibrant intersection of art and science curated by Allison Tanenhaus and Jess Baggia. With a strong emphasis on interactivity, connection, and community, this event invites attendees to engage, explore, and experience the profound impact of these two fields. This year's exhibition is "Deviations." We encouraged the artists to interpret this theme in a way that personally resonated while also illustrating how the merger of art and science enhances the human experience through technology.
Get hands-on with Synth-tember at this free, all-ages day of activities—lectures, a synthesizer petting zoo, exhibition of local vendors, and a theremin workshop in partnership with the Cambridge Hackspace and Cram Audio*—focused on education and experimentation.
*Please sign up for the theremin building workshop in advance to secure your spot and kit
We’ve partnered with Bleep-Blorp to host the first Mini-Blorp! Mini-Blorps are a new offshoot of the annual Bleep-Blorp festival of synthesizer music. Bleep-Blorp aims to provide a platform for synthesizer-based artists to share their music, as well as an opportunity to foster connections within the synthesis community.
Kick off Synth-tember with our opening reception, featuring an exhibition titled "Deviations." Live performances include This Bliss’s album release of ‘Grave of Sound,’ DJ A.C. Wiley of High Energy Vintage, and a special appearance by Eugene Mirman.
