Alvan Long is a mixed media artist based in Jamaica Plain, MA. The artist has described his own work as “a post-apocalyptic death walk throughout corporate America”. His pieces are musical in their poignancy and sing like a topical song. The viewer may be overtaken by feelings of nostalgia, the passing of time and thoughts of the future.

Music isn't just sounds and notes and sound in general isn't stationary. It moves. It has width and depth and height, and it has shades and colors and meaning. To us, it's a 3D painting. To us, audio mastering is the art of bringing that painting to life to fully represent the artist's intentions. It takes complete understanding of your gear on a level that might be considered unhealthy. And we learn to listen on a level that borders manic compulsion. But we do it because it's part of us and we couldn't stop even if we wanted to. We're not just engineers, we're musicians too, and our approach will always be musical.

Duncan Wilder Johnson is a photographer, videographer, documentary filmmaker, musician, writer, and spoken word artist.

DWJ Creative is Duncan’s photography and video brand. He creates still and moving images for real estate listings, portraits (both headshots and lifestyle), events, products, commercials for small and large businesses, and music videos.

DWJ Creative started in 2014 and Duncan’s clients include Whole Foods Market, The Boston Red Sox, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, FLIR, The Town of Hudson, MA, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Garden Streets, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Craftech, and more.

As a documentary filmmaker, Duncan created “Leave Behind A Groove In The Earth” about the Boston Hardcore legends Sam Black Church, as well as “SIM Big 50” for the Studio for Interrelated Media at Mass Art.
