Our Mission Statement
TO GIVE ART A PLACE TO PRACTICE
This new facility, located in Union Square, Somerville is spearheaded by New Alliance East owner Nick Zampiello and New Alliance Audio owner Alvan Long, and features an art gallery surrounded by three independent music production studios and five independent visual artist and fabricator workspaces. This is the third home for New Alliance Audio (established in 1987) and New Alliance East (1997) and it marks Zampiello and Long’s enduring dedication to music and the arts in the Greater Boston area.

Somerville Open Studios!
Somerville Open Studios 2024 will take place on Saturday + Sunday, May 4-5, 2024, from 12-6 pm each day. We kick off the event in style with an opening party Friday, May 3 starting at 7 pm.
Artist Spotlight
Alvan Long
The captivating 2D and 3D art by Alvan Long is a resurrection of found objects in a mix of media assembled discerningly to tell affecting stories and make powerful statements about our culture. Alvan attributes much of his inspiration to growing up in Detroit. As a child he absorbed his environment laden with pollution, crumbling factories, and piles of debris and remembers becoming aware of the beauty in degradation.
